Lincoln Property Company Completes 248,000 Square Feet of Office Leasing Activity in Raleigh
Four Organizations Signed Deals at the Venture + Alliance Buildings on NC State’s Centennial Campus
Lincoln Property Company (“Lincoln”), a global full-service real estate firm, announced that it signed 247,834 square feet of leases at Centennial Campus, NC State’s research and innovation campus located in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. The deals were signed at the campus’ Venture + Alliance buildings, which include 656,087 square feet of multifunctional office, electronic lab, and classroom space spread across six high-tech facilities.
The following leases were signed at the Venture + Alliance Buildings; Lincoln was represented in-house and in partnership with JLL in the lease negotiations:
- Hitachi Energy USA renewed and expanded its lease for the company’s North American headquarters. Hitachi will now occupy the entire 147,000-square-foot Alliance Center. JLL represented Hitachi in the lease negotiations.
- NC State’s Institute for Advanced Analytics signed a 20,000-square-foot lease at Venture III. The institute will relocate to the building from the Alliance Center Q2 2025. JLL represented NC State in the lease negotiations.
- LexisNexis signed a lease for 65,000 square feet in Venture III. The information and analytics company will move into the building in Q4 2025. Newmark represented LexisNexis in the lease negotiations.
- Linxon signed a lease for 16,000 square feet in Venture I. The EPC construction firm will relocate from the Alliance Center in Q3 2025. JLL represented Linxon in the lease negotiations.
The Venture + Alliance Buildings are located on NC State’s Centennial Campus, a vibrant research and innovation campus that is home to the College of Engineering, the Wilson College of Textiles, the Plant Sciences Initiative, Hunt Library and more than 70 industry partners, both private businesses and government organizations. Centennial Campus is a collaborative community, fostering cross-industry and interdisciplinary opportunities while accelerating innovation and business growth. Centennial Campus also offers a dynamic mix of intellectual, recreational and social experiences, cultivating meaningful connections between private partners, NC State faculty, staff, students and the public at large.
“We are pleased to have executed these leases with JLL at the Venture + Alliance buildings. These transactions were part of a strategic tenancy puzzle that we worked to piece together with the University and our partners to expand the diverse tenant mix at Centennial Campus. All of these companies previously occupied space at Centennial, and their expansion and long-term renewals are a testament to the value proposition that NC State has developed here,” said David Connor, a Senior Vice President with Lincoln. “Centennial is a constantly evolving knowledge economy. With a daily population of over 16,000 and a mix of academic, research, office, retail, and abundant amenities, the campus has become a vibrant live-work-play-learn destination in Raleigh. We look forward to continuing to advance the mission of Centennial Campus in partnership with the University and our tenants.”
‘We are proud that these organizations have chosen to remain a part of the Centennial Campus community and continue their engagement with NC State,” said NC State Associate Vice Chancellor for Partnerships, Mark Schmidt. “Their commitment underscores not only the value of partnership with NC State, but also the dynamic nature of the innovation ecosystem on Centennial Campus.”
Lincoln acquired the Venture + Alliance buildings in 2020 and developed an extensive and ongoing capital improvement project. Completed projects include three renovated courtyards and lobbies, a new state-of-the-art fitness center, and the addition of conference rooms and a 321 Coffee shop at the campus café. A large outdoor mural was also commissioned for the Venture Place building. Lincoln acts as the property manager for all six buildings.
