Norman Bertke

Norman “Norm” Bertke is Executive Managing Director and the Head of Lincoln Property Company’s Corporate Advisory & Solutions (CAS) group. In this capacity, Norm oversees all aspects of Lincoln’s CAS platform which is focused on delivering services to occupiers, including facility and project management, transaction management and lease administration.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Norm held multiple roles within CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) team, including Division Vice President of GWS Local Americas and Chief Operating Officer of GWS Local Facility Management. As one of two founding members of GWS Local, Norm oversaw its growth from a $100M to $700M business in just over five years. Additionally, Norm was the Executive Managing Director of Asset Services for CBRE’s East Region of nearly 300 million square feet of real estate where he worked with CBRE’s market-specific Asset Services teams to provide seamless and impactful management services to property owners and investors.

Norm rejoined CBRE in 2014 after leading all aspects of Corporate Real Estate, Facilities and Space Management for Huntington National Bank’s 8 million-square-foot portfolio for over four years. Prior to Huntington, Norm was a Managing Director for CBRE overseeing all aspects of Asset Services for CBRE’s diverse and extensive portfolio of commercial, industrial, office and retail properties in Central and Southwest Ohio. He managed the 17 million square feet portfolio, and his responsibilities included supervision of all operational activities, staffing, budgeting, client relations and management reporting for CBRE’s clients.

Prior to CBRE, Mr. Bertke was the Senior Vice President of Asset Services for Columbus Commercial Realty (CCR), which was acquired by CB Richard Ellis in 2005. Norm was responsible for growing the CCR managed property portfolio from 4 to 8 million square feet while with the firm. Norm’s varied background in Project Management and Real Estate includes a stint as a Real Estate Manager with YUM Brand Restaurants, where he was responsible for restaurant site selection, contract negotiations and development for KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants. Additionally, Norm was a Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) where he managed a variety of properties for institutional and private owners including a 1.5 million-square-foot trophy office property in the Chicago CBD. His project management experience included five years as an Acquisitions Officer and Captain in the United States Air Force, where he managed $100+ million acquisitions of high-tech satellite equipment.
